What brand of baked beans?

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Char, Oct 1, 2012.

  1. Got me thinking what would happen if it was possible to do a propper blind bike test - not knowing the make/look/shape/colour/power/age of a bike or be able to hear it while riding it (yes you would be allowed to see the road)

How much do we judge on what we see hear and are told rather than what we feel :)

  2. You think too much.

There's only one brand of baked beans btw

  3. I think you're missing the point a bit here Char. The product experience is an amalgam of several factors, of which feel, shape, sound etc etc are all components. What would be the point of stripping out half (or most) of them?

But to answer your question, you'd probably identify a Ducati, a Harley, a BM flat twin, maybe a Honda V4. Most of the in-line 4s would be indistinguishable.

  4. Sainsburys basics are good :)

  5. That was my point really - whiter than white - no such thing

Still can't beat Heinz though no matter what anyone says ;-p

  6. [IMG]

This is a picture of a Belgium steak yummy

  7. Is it called a Belgium Steak because it's Horse meat? NZ exports most of it's Horse meat kill to Belgium.

  8. Cant say I particularly enjoy eating horse but don't have an issue with it - horse was on the menu

Now your going to tell me what waffles are really made of

  9. I knew what you were saying ;-)

  10. Horse - tastes fine (very lean) but just seems very wrong. You'd want to be around when a horse got zapped even less than when they do a cow. Gave it up many years ago. What next, dog?

    Heinz or nothing BTW.

  11. Not sure about waffles but you know that rattle when you shake a can of spray paint?

    That`s a kid`s tooth!

  12. This by the way, is true :upyeah: Useless or unsuccessful racehorses are sent to slaughter, then butchered and packaged and exported, mainly to Belguim.

  13. Branston baked beans, there's no competition.

When I first got wind of them I never looked back.

  14. Rabbit???? Duck???? That's even more wrong!

  15. Eat most things so long as they're not meat eaters themselves - therefore a big no to dog or cat

  16. Go to Korea dog is on the menu

  17. Genuine LOL

  18. I don't understand - what are you talking about, "very wrong"? A horse is just a herbivorous animal much like a cow, sheep or deer. I have eaten them all and I really don't see any problem. I do understand why some people don't fancy eating pigs, since pigs eat anything they see (including people, given the chance). If you eat dog, whatever you do don't eat the liver!

  19. Sounds like a blind meat eating challenge

So long as Tofu's not on the menu - belugh

  20. Can we have a break with this thread for about an hour, my tea's nearly ready!
