This is Shakey's racebike for 2016. Reckon the exhaust arrangement ( from what can be seen) is a precursor to the 2017 1299 exhaust?
Is that in the UK?, the Diavel in the background looks to have fork reflectors fitted which I thought were for the US?
Yep they never look remotely like road bike systems do they, but in the above case I think you may be right
It's not a case of them not looking like road systems, it's the fact they that are not held under the same noise/emissions constraints and therefore are designed for performance and shouldn't be taken as an indication of how future road systems are going to look. The latest wsbk system hardly looks like the road system does it?!
Performance Bikes mag think ducati will tidy the cans up for the 1299 euro 4. Something along the lines of the wsb system would look better then the shotguns theyve slapped on the 959 but pillion will have to be possible for bip. The wsb exhaust with the extra can added a lot of torque i believe.
I bet the exhausts stay the same but Ducati will build 2017s bikes in 2016 to get around it. 2018 will see an L4 1000cc bike. That's my guess. The twin is dead as far as superbike is concerned. Ducati have said that they can't take the twin any further. They haven't won wsb in donkeys years. They won't put a lot of work into the Pani for one year.
Our bikes come with these also (my 959 had them), but only stuck on, so they pull straight off. That is a year or so old. The one they have been using this year is a twin exit very similar the the new Superleggera exhaust...
