  2. If anyone hears any offers on for the 1200S then I'd be very interested to know.

I always had the impression the dealers couldn't do their own offers, but the 1200 base offer does sound like a dealer specific one. Might just phone around. The laugh will be sure to do both me and the dealer some good. :)

  3. At last a believer [emoji106] but I'm sure someone will along to tell you how can a bike be a 2016 model when we are still in 2015 [emoji33]

This is why I cannot see them updating the model till late nxt year, if the current model is 16 surely they'll let it run till sept 16 and then bring a 17 model out. They certainly won't bring a new model out for March because it will kill sales from now till March, unless they give em away !

  4. In reply to OP.....Im not sure if its a general Ducati offer but Riders are offering a free touring pack on New Multis registered before end of the year

  5. That's great news! Thanks for letting me know. I'll see if Coventry can match it.

  6. I've spoken to riders (Bridgwater) and no mention of free touting pack, but then again I wasn't paying full retail price.

  7. I didnt look into it but they sent me a text on holiday as I had been in there before I left. I would expect it would be full retail and then a haggle to get the trade in price if you had one.
SMC have this on ebay too

    Ducati Multistrada 1200 | eBay

  8. That's expensive
I bought a new Dvt 1200 ( base model ) £11995 with panniers thrown in, at Riders Bridgwater ( after some haggling ! ) ...they matched a deal I was offered at SMC Sheffield
Get them to do the above deal, then add a top box yourself ( aprox £300 ) at a later date if needs be.

  9. I'm guessing you didnt have anything to trade in then Steve?

  10. They offered me £8500 on my 2014 1900 mile base model multi ( aparantly £7500 book price !? , I sold it for £9200 privately, ( bought privately for £9000 6 weeks earlier )
Give the buggers a hard time !!!!!

  11. Steve the difference is your bike from riders is a 2015 the bikes Smc are knocking out are 2016 .

    How do I no.
I've spoken to Gavin@ Bridgwater and he can do a new dvt with panniers for £11995 but there 2015.

Tony@ Smc can do the same deal for reg this month on a 2016 model, riders couldn't match it not on a 2016 they said not enough profit in it for them.

  12. Here we go again ...yawn
    Ok.

  13. That's seriously tempting.

  14. There is absolutely no difference between a 2015 / and supposed 2016 model, they 'would' both be exactly the same motorcycle, there are no revisions for the multi in 2016, so what is the difference between a 2015 / 2016 ??

Don't let these bull$hit salesman tell you nonsense, I worked for a main dealer for 8 years, I know what goes on
Just go buy a 2015 base model multi & do yourself a massive favour, don't waste yr hard earned money on the S model, I tested both & honestly couldn't tell the difference (suspension wise ), yes more gadgetary, but let's be totally honest, being a Ducati with their foibles, do we need more that may well go wrong ??, especially after the two years of 'almost' worry free warranty has lapsed
go buy a base model multi, you won't regret it, I love mine !!
