Hi peeps, anyone know where I can procure a pair of these beauties. Brand new might be a bit salty but I'll pay strong money for excellent second hand. Cheers, Paul.
This guy had these listed at £2k last week "Checked and Serviced", although they look as bent as a pair of bananas to me :Wideyed: DUCATI DESMOSEDICI RR DAMAGED COMPLETE OR MAY SELL BREAK FOR PARTS ENGINE FORKS | eBay
I have some Desmosedeci forks on my 996. Even standard they are a (small) step up from K-teched Ohlins
Do you mean that they are better than Ohlins with K-Tech cartridges? My ones are waaaay over sprung so I am sending them for lighter springs/re-gas/seals etc to JHP. I was in two minds whether to do that or get K-Tech in the standard Ohlins (like I have in my 749R, which are fantastic).
It's really hard to describe but they felt a lot more reactive to bumps especially under hard braking with a lot more composure when trail braking into corners. My other forks had just been revalved and sprung to suit my fat a@rse so they were pretty good. Sorry to hi jack the thread
Come on Mr V2 you can't cop out now without posting a photo of this beastie, and ignore what @Nelson says
I'd love a pair on the 1098R, I have the 30mm cartridge kit, but these would be a step up in bling,
I have to admit the forks were bought 100% for the bling, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were also an improvement
