Looking to add a top box rack to the top box on the multi. It's the OEM one and I can't seem to find anything that will specifically fit those top boxes.

If I'm tenting, then I can put the camping gear on the pillion seat but if I go with a pillion I'll need the rack for the tent.
My mate, a CDT teacher, made an acrylic 8mm-thick converter 'plate' that screwed directly to the bike then allowed a Givi top plate to be screwed to it. Worked faultlessly for >16k miles before he got rid of the bike.
It's this kind of thing i'm after however I don't want it to look like some butchered bodge job. Wondered if there was a proper item or if someone had done a good looking bodge job that I can copy/steal.

B&B all the way! Camping after a long day's ride is shite. I still have the scars from stopping off on a bike trip and camping in Kinlochleven. They weren't midges - they were fecking flying crocodiles! Never again.
Done that before, found a lovely place next to a river down the mull of kintyre in Scotland to camp when cycling. As soon as dusk arrived we instantly regretted the choice of camp!
But we can afford more trips if we camp on some, budget only extends to so many b & b trips! Plus if the others your with camp, you miss out on the evenings shenanigans
Wild camping is great as long as everyone behaves responsibly, fat chance. Regarding the original question, and being sensible, how much weight can reasonably be attached to a lid that probably hasn't been designed to take an additional rack ? Bear in mind the limit in the top box is 10kg.
