1098r Ducati Data Analyser (dda)

  1. So, in amongst the paper work and box of original bits, I have found a USB dongle and a Microsoft compatible software disc in a natty box. I get that it is to download data recorded during a ride and look at on your PC but nowhere can I find anything to explain how to do it. Either an explanation for a mechanical engineer (aka simpleton) to understand or a link to follow would be greatly appreciated. Andy

  2. I got one of them too, and, as a fellow mechanical engineer, have no idea what to do with it!

  3. Subject to weather, I will be collecting my now freshly serviced and shod bike on Monday, so if else fails I'll try and get some sense out of the workshop. Andy

  4. Download the software to your computer. You may need to go onto the DDA site to download the latest version.

Then you have the DDA program (below - on Mac)

Turn your DDA on in your clocks and start recording. If I remember correctly flashing the main beam activates the DDA and each subsequent flash starts a new lap. Here is what I got when I took mine round the block to try it out, but normally I don't use it much. It monitors speed, RPM, distance, throttle position, engine temp, traction control & gear.
