Recently noticed that my front discs have excessive play between the bobbins, I’m guessing that they are due to be replaced. I'm looking for a pair of un-warped discs with plenty of life left in them. If such a thing exists :-/ I believe the stock discs on the 1098s were 330mm Brembo’s Cheers Paul
Thanks for the contact - I spoke to my local bike mechanic and he said there should be some play in the bobbings on the bike, more than I considered to be ok. I have between 3 and 4mm of play when grabbing the disc like a steering wheel and rotating the disc left to right against the disc carrier. I assumed that there should only be about .5 - 1mm of play. Apparently it's when there is no or very little play is when the discs are knackered, I'm guess if there was a rediclous amount of play that too would mean time to replace. Any advice greatly appreciate.

Ask away Had them on monster for a while 1100 miles approx. They are a pair and will need 5mm calliper spacers if you have 320mm discs now They where taken off a new Panigale 1199 and fit 848/1098/1198/1199/M1100S
Ah right, I'm not sure of the diametre fitted but there are standard Brembo that came on the 1098S. 6 bobins If I remember correctly. Not sure if I'd need additional spaces, there are already spacers on there. I don't want to tyre kick and waste your time so if you coukd give me a balk park figure I can let you know if I am in a position to buy them. Cheers Paul
To be honest with you after spending out recently on a full service I'm not in the position to spend lots. So I wouldn't want to offend you by making an offer. I been looking in ebay hooping that a bargain would come up.
The problem with ebay is not know 100% if what you are buying is in good condition with plenty of life left.

Gentlemen, a Brembo direct replacement new is about £200 per disc. 6 bobbin would be correct if the reference I have used is sound. Andy

Yep I do know the brand new price, bike torque racing sell them at that exact price, this is why I haven't bought new as I can't afford that right now. :-/
Lets hope cobra doesn't want more now as I may well end up be out of the running as I can afford much more than £120 he has offered them to me at. :-/
Nope, I'm not greedy They are worth nothing hiding in my stash Would rather they got used. Whenever I stick my ducati bits in for sale section at a low price I get no takers I guess as my prices are low buyers think it must be junk. My termi's sat on here for months at a low price Gave up and stuck them on ebay and got £150 more in 45 minutes :\
Oh mate I wasn't suggesting you were greedy, sorry if it came across that way. I definately would appreciate being able to buy them if they are in good condition. I appreciate the whole forum situation too, I'd rather help fellow enthusiasts if I can. I've got a spare nose and two lots of side fairings so if you ever need anything would be happy to help out in return. So I'll sit tight until you have time to dig them out.
