On my 848, now I'm not mechanically minded but I straight up know it should usually do about 120 mile to the tank. Any ideas? Also what kinda Mileage do your bikes get?
Depends how hard you ride it Did you run out or was that to the light on? How much fuel did you put in - fuel sender issue? Does it normally do more? Any smell of fuel? Did you forget to rest when you filled up last time....and did it 2 miles later? Mine ranged from 50 (on track) to 140 and still running albeit on fumes. Light on normally at 90-100
I got roughly the same out of mine on a ride out in the summer. Had just under 1 litre left in the tank.
On mine about a hundred from full to light on if fast ish road.. If I am really nailing it I don't really care it's the cheapest fix that makes me smile for days that I am ever going to get : )
where do yo think i draw my inspiration from? i was thinking along the lines of lamda sensor. it wont necessary come up with an error.
That was till light on, and even no smell or anything. I know since I've had the bike it's black at the end of the slash cut pipes. I do know it doesn't have the right Ecu map for the aftermarket pipes (yet). Could that be an issue. Normally it does about 100 till light.
You would smell the fuel if ot as that rich i'd have thought Was it a fast ride?? Lots of high speed (constant throttle above 8-9k) sucks fuel
coolant and possibly air temp sensors sending wrong information can cause this also. depending on which way they are wired high resistance at the connector or wiring can cause it to run ether rich or lean
A correctly fuelled engine will still produce carbon deposits, especially if there is no cat. the question is how much. If it smells rich to someone riding behind, it is rich. Either way if its got non standard cans I'd want it remapped sooner rather than later as a matter of course.
