..that could do me a favour? I ordered a gear for my BSA from CBM 37 Northgate Walsall WS9 8FQ,but it's been almost 2 weeks and nothing received. I've tried calling both phone numbers, mobile is silent and the landline is permanently,(!),"temporaraily unavailable"... Emailing them has not elicited a response either,sooo... If anyone lives nearby,(and it's not too much trouble),dropping by and asking about my order would be appreciated. It was described as "New/Old Stock",so they should not be waiting for a delivery or anything. Not dealt with them before,I'm sure there's a genuine reason but they've had my money and I want my part. Any chance?
I'm partial to knocking on strangers doors Sorry I don't live there otherwise I would have done it for you
Update: just managed to get hold of the feller on the phone,he says t'Interweb connection has been down and tells me he'll call me in the next 24hrs with a plan. Thanks for the interest
Update: In the post above,I lied like a cheap Japanese watch... The guy didn't call as stated in my earlier post...didn't reply to emails and phone wasn't answered...and so my missus took up the cudgels on my behalf. He picked up a call from her,(different number/phone),said the gear was chipped and he'd sort out a refund to my card. A week later: "I'll get the guys who deal with refunds to sort it out" Some time later: " a cheque is on it's way to you" Even later: sent a scan of a cheque made out to me with a note: "here's a pic of the cheque,I don't know what else I can do,it was posted last week" Finally,(yesterday): an envelope arrives postmarked 3 days AFTER he said it had been posted the previous week...hmmm... Now,this MAY have been a one-off...or it MAY have been a series of misunderstandings...or it MAY just smell because someone passing by had trodden in bullshit. But,as a result of all the nonsense,I'm not recommending him/them. It's one thing to have a few issues with an item. It's another thing not sorting out a refund when you've told the customer several times you were going to/were in the process of/had done so. But it's a whole different thing when you get arsey with the Customer for having the temerity to chase their refund and catch you out lying in the process. Mr. CBM...I think you are a bad man...
