  1. Hi All

I'm looking for a 998R or late model 748R. Anyone on here got one for sale?

  2. There is a 2001MY full Ohlins 748R on the bay ...... if you've got 10k. Not seen a 998R for a while although the last time I said that, they popped up all over the place. Goodcluck with your search. Oh and welcome by the way, it's a mad house on here. Andy

  3. All the best with your search. Welcome to the forum.

  4. Thanks Andy - is it the one in Denmark? Ideally I'm after a later one with the slab sides.....

  5. Thanks Jnestie!

  6. Welcome, good luck with your search :upyeah:

  7. Cheers Exige

  8. What do you think the 748R in Denmark will go for? 10K seems a bit steep. I brought a 2001 748R end of last year. I've only put 100 ish miles on her. Previous owner has contacted me hoping to get her back. Unsure wether to let her go and get something a bit newer that I could plough a heap of miles on...Worried I'll end up kicking myself

  9. One on eBay at a dealers just before Christmas I think for around £5 1/2, didn't hang around long.

Was posted on here if you scroll back far enough.

  10. EBay bike thread.

  11. Every time I see them they go pretty quick. A Cat D one went for 4300 in the last few weeks, non ohlins version, stated on the add that it couldn't be started and needed van collection

  12. I'm also looking for a 998R, cash or swap my 2002 998S plus cash.
    916SPS is also a contender.

I'm the man who looked at an RC30 and RC45 then went for a ZXR instead....doh.

  13. I probably would have too. Always loved the old ZXR.

  14. So you selling the 998s ?

  15. Nope, but I would swap for a 998R and my cash.

  16. Yeah, they're pretty hard to come by so guess it's worth thinking hard before you let it go. Always a dilemma whether to put miles, but they're built to enjoy!

  17. Cross reference the engine number with the frame number.
Yeah i've thought about an 848 as a second bike. If you go for the 748R try and check the engine number against the frame. I have a letter from Ducati stating what engine was in the bike when it was built. look deep into service history if you can. Flaking rockers was an issue apparently
