Lance Armstrong - overwhelming evidence of cheating

  1. That's preferable to cheating.

So you think all the up-and-coming racers should be made to take the drugs in order to become competitive on that level playing field?

  2. No. I was just taking the piss.

Regarding body building as a 'sport'..this sort of falls into the snooker, darts categories of sport, but at least these can be considered as games.

Drugs aside, i think the skill of bodybuilding is in the knowledge of physiology and anatomy. The philosophy behind it is a journey of introspection to reach your maximum genetic potential, its just that its goals are aesthetic rather than strength or speed. When a pro bodybuilder understands his/her own physiology, genetics, body type (ectomorph, mesomorph, endomorph for instance), understands how different exercises, movements and nutrition work then they can acheive their potential. Its just that at the pro end of the spectrum and with drugs the human form has been distorted into a grotesque caracature..some of these guys look like theyve been photoshopped.
Bodybuilding has gone beyond its original ethos of fitness and wellbeing into the realms of freakish narcissism, body dysmorphia and circus side show.

Not bodybuilding but working with injured/recovering athletes in some form.

    Or maybe just a satire.

  5. A satirical satanist - sounds about right.
