  1. Thanks chap, great looking bit of kit! The 13 year old bit puts me off a bit? I like it but probably be a bit too hardcore for me???I aint one foot in grave just yet or I wouldn't be lookin for a sports bike? But I'm not lookin to enter the NW 200 either!

  2. Um, what's the RC8 then????

  3. Just a bit less hardcore than a 999 FILA REP???

  4. I should sell you my 999, would tick all your boxes, but it's just too good and I know I'd regret it.

    Want a 600 SRAD?

  5. Get a late 748 ,get a minter for 5k. Then buy my carbon wheels for it be one hell of a bike then and still in budget.

  6. A 748 is a decent shout, there are a couple of pristine ones, all I would say is that if you are used to testastretta engines the old desmos take a little getting used too again! That said who am I to talk, the panigale is like a bloody 2 stroke to ride! Braap!

  7. I'm nudging 60,diabetic 1,got Haemochromotosis (no cure - only treatment is venesection, basically they drain 2 pints of blood out of me every 2 weeks to lower iron overload) and diagnosed incorrectly with muscular dystrophy last September which now turns out to be multiple sclerosis! I'm just happy to be slinging my leg over anything chap? Until 3 years ago I didn't even gave a GP - now I get an invite to the surgery practice Christmas party and Lloyds Pharmacy send me a Christmas card and free calendar

  8. SRAD it is then [emoji10]

  9. That sucks, a 748 isn't your friend then mate! I would say another 749 with some helibars to make it a touch more comfortable.

  10. hope you stumble on a cracker. On the advice front, don't buy/import a bike that needs a Certificate of Conformity from Ducati Italy as you will wait 6 months for it - no short cuts.

  12. I like 748's - my only Ducati which I said I regret selling was a sub 4,000 mile mint unmolested 2004 749 which I now know is a mile off a 748! I just fancy something a bit different then I will buy a 999 or prob a 1098

  13. Love a 2 stroke me! Absolutely love them, although I'm a power valve generation, RS250's/RGV250's and NSR250's.

Sold my RS250 for £2500, it was on eBay recently for nearly £5k. I'm a mug!

  14. That's what I appreciate! Good informed advice. I've given out and spouted plenty on here as to legals, buyers rights,OFT,consumer rights etc cos it's shit I know about being a car trader/retailer for 42+ years

  19. i find the 749 alot less comfortable than the 748.. like the way the engine spins up so much faster and the exhaust note but over all id go for a 48 if i had the choice outta the 2..

  20. that's interesting Chiz, 749/999 is the only 'section' I have yet to experience but from general feedback gathered I always thought that they offered a slight comfort improvement over 748/916/blah.
