1200 DVT Rear Nut Sprocket Side Torque????

  1. Hi Guys,

Does anyone know the torque setting for the rear nut sprocket side?

A mate of mine had his rear tyre changed this morning on his 2014 non DVT and the tyre fitted told him he had play in his rear wheel bearing. After speaking to P&H he was told they could have a quick look at it this afternoon, but if it needed parts it would be over a week before he would get it back, he then spoke with "Pro-twins" and the were surprised it would be the wheel bearing but asked him to pop it down.

At Pro-twins the guy had a good look around the rear wheel and it turned out the nut on the sprocket side was only hand tight. He torque it up and it was as good as gold.

My mate as never touched this nut so the question is has it been like this from new???

  2. 230Nm, same as the wheel nut. Not uncommon to see these loosen in service, hence they should be checked on service.

  3. Great Thanks
