Fantastic day at Italian car and bike day at The Sharnbrook Hotel. Was honoured to be part of the indoor display in the Amalfi Suite. [emoji41] Nice display inside.. Outside there was wall to wall class, just a stunning day. There was even a certain mr Lamborghini there! [emoji15]
Just got back from A&E.. Was using a 1 mm thick cutting disc ( with gloves and eye protection on ) the disc jammed and broke into many bits sending the small steel part I was cutting flying, at first all was fine or so I thought! A bit shocked I was more concerned to where the metal piece had flown too.. Then I felt a burning sensation in my fruit & veg dept, yep I had pieces of disc and shards of metal embedded in my belly and surrounding areas.. Took it like a man and soldiered on for a while but wife said No! That looks infected! (First time she's looked in that dept for a while..) Millions up at A&E.. When we got to the front of the Q for the reception desk the Mrs kindly took over for me, proudly announcing to the waiting room " yes he's had an accident with an angle grinder, he's got bits!, well, in his bits" pointing at the relevant area just in case anyone in the waiting room had and doubt.. The two receptionists had a little smirk! Many hours later and finally home.. Embarrassed and sore! At least I got the chance to read about the new 1299 Ani Panni.. Nice! Just I very much doubt if I shall ever be able to straddle a bike again.. "Nurse !"
Fell asleep on the sofa, again. Why is it so hard to get up off the sofa and drag myself up to bed when I wake up in the wee small hours?
Been trying to watch the TDF, coverage starts at midnight, stage usually finishes at 3.30 - 4 am, I usually wake up at 5am on the couch having missed the last 1/2 of the stage, then fail to raise myself enough to get to bed.
