996 1098 Side Stand On 996

So is it the change of bracket which improves the lean angle, retaining the 996 stand, or do both items need replacing?

 

unless you have set your 748/9** rear suspension low then the sidestand 'leg' that comes as standard is just too short so replacing with the 848/1098 version addresses this. I swapped my first 748 'leg' with a modified Mito one which is also longer.

I knew you were going to ask! - memory failing a bit and I don't have both at this location just now. I know i fitted a 1098 'leg' on it's own in the past but can't remember if it's a 100% straight fit.

Yup,I put one on my 998, no problems.

And a bypass of the switch so I can warm it up on the stand.
