Hello Folks, Does anyone know if a full Termi system with the correct ecu and filter on an 1198S will give much more bhp than a set of Termi slip-on's. The bike is only going be used on the track, any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
In the advertising for the 1098R which is 1198cc, the set of open cans supplied as well as the stock end can gave an extra 5bhp which is probably not outright max power but more mid range. The 70mm race system +ECU is in another ball park, somewhere between 'bloody hell' and 'mental'. Andy
I think it does on the bigger engines (no good on 848, too much flow) but its more than it changes the way the power is delivered seen loads giving 175 plus but 95lbft to go with it 1098R seems to give genuine 195 pretty easy with very few mods
My 1198 certainly stepped up a gear after fitting my full system and ecu mate as Andy said it went into mental mode I don't ride it I just hang on to the bloody thing! ! though not had it on a dyno yet to check fuelling and bhp but I know it flipping nuts.
