St4 Haynes Manual

  1. Hi all,

I can't seem to find a Haynes manual for the ST4 anywhere. Does anyone know if they printed one? The closest I can find is the one for the sports 4v twins (916, 996 etc), I know they share engines but I figure there's enough differences for the ST4 to at least have a mention in the manual to distinguish it's particular foibles?

I've yet to get in front of a real computer and check out the links to the free workshop manuals on this forum, it may be that they are just as good as a Haynes anyway...

    Cheers!

  2. I used to work for Haynes until 2011 and up to that point they had never done a manual that covered the ST4 specifically. The one for the 916 etc is the closest you'll find from them as far as I know.

I used it when I had an ST4 and it covered everything I ever needed including removing the engine etc. But that's another story!

The main difference to the 916 is that the camshafts are placed 10mm lower down to allow for a reduction in the height of the cylinder head and allow them to position the engine closer to the front wheel in that frame.

Pretty much everything else is the same as far as I'm aware.
