Proper SS turned up too. Thanks to Ken for getting us off our arses again. Good day out. Cheers, Keith.
I arrived fairly late but was good to meet the people I did. I thought I'd managed to avoid the camera then realised you got me twice Keith. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
well....I didn't know who was there from the Forum and who wasn't.....but had a great ride down from Derby, and the fishfinger butty was yum
So it was your bloody fault it rained . . . . . i shoulda known ! Great ride there , i really think you guys should invest in forum name badges so that other forum members know who you are ! i took a couple of pics but by the time i had remembered half the bikes had gone :tonguewink: posted them in the other thread but i'll post them here too just to be a post whore !
So, it did rain, then?.........It's chucked it down a couple of times here today............ Name badge? Got one on my crash helmet and two subtly on the screen of the bike......... .....only thing is.....................I wasn't there.
We had a quite a heavy shower coming down from Derby, and a small one when we were outside the cafe, but a lovely ride back
I'm glad I came along despite working a 12hr night shift before..met a few members and had a good chat with a gent that rode down from Yorkshire. Think he said his name was John. Some beautiful bikes there! Gordon, that is me departing in the white helmet, nice photos!, wish I could have stayed longer to meet more members but back at work tonight. Looking forward to the next one already, Dave.
Gutted I missed it, but was offered the opportunity to go up with a mate in his plane and get some photos of the Airlander at cardington, which I really couldn't pass up! Photos in the DSLR thread in lounge.
Hehe. Top banter just there ^^^ I got back about an hour and a half ago, after clocking 385 miles today. That seems like a lot. I took the motorway on the way down, but the twisty way all the way back. Loads of lovely metal on show. I'm the Jon from Yorkshire that Earnest_Meadows (Dave, top lip weasel) was talking about, with the red and white H plate 750ss with a 944 in it. I recommended that Earnest checks out an issue of The Chap magazine. Chatted to some other chaps also. Graham, Andy? Maybe we need a way to identify each other since we are all stalwarts of the nom-de-plume on here? I even managed a respectable wheelie when leaving, but I'm expecting no one saw it. Bah.
You met me as well... i came down from co durham. but only 300 miles today as ended in Norfolk. tomorrow Ramsgate! Sorry we missed the wheely!
