Hi all, My 6 month old Red DVT was stolen last night from outside the house between 11pm and 6am. Assume with a van as had locks on front and back brakes. CCTV pointing straight at it and on a street next to the Castle. Amazingly daring theives we have these days. Logged with the police but they haven't visited or called back and it has been 15 hours. No interest at all. Had a few bits that will make it stand out: Comfort Touratech Seat Touring Screen Navihalter Garmin All luggage including topbox 11 RH personal reg. Keep an eye out if you would please!
I'm local and will keep an eye out....if I find it will I get some free stamps or at least a personal tour of your castle?
Can you post up any pics from your cctv to try and id the thieves? Nottingham is currently suffering a spate of bike thefts too
Feel for you. That combo of feeling violated and futile rage. I hope you get the bike back undamaged and the parasitic, thieving scum are found face down in a ditch. Or is that a bit over the top?
I was admiring it a couple of weeks ago while having a pint and smoke outside the Two Brewers! Probably be in a container in the back of my mates 2016 Transit along with £15/20.000 of his tools that vanished locally the other night? Waiting to go to Poland,Latvia,Estonia etc? BASTARDS!!!
I'm thinking the CCTV was either council or maybe castle security and not the domestic type. Which does beg a question of if it was for reasons of security who was monitoring it?

We bought and installed a 4 camera system from screwfix that allows you to patch into your home system from you phone. Not going to stop everyone but another deterrence for thieves
Unbelievably the Police have found it! I haven't been able to see it yet but apparently the only damage is the number plate has been taken off. It was dumped by the side of a quiet street. Probably to come back to and see if it had a tracker. Hopefully it will be OK!
