Recently whilst I'm on this site, the page just disappears and I'm confronted by a new "pop up" web page called "juicy r u" or some such that wants me to fill in a questionaire. I have pop ups blocked on settings but it's still happenening. Why? Is this happening to anyone else?
Nope - just the normal 'injury lawyers 4u' and Antacid adverts Almost like they're trying to tell us something
It happens to me at work (the only time I visit the site on an actual computer) when I click on 'today's posts' or new posts whatever it says
You shouldn't get pop-ups with the ads on this site, as they're Google Ads and don't allow pop-ups. I would run a malware scanner on your machine, just in case you've got something nasty installed! There are plenty of free ones - I'd recommend Spybot: Spybot - Search & Destroy from Safer Networking
I get this on different websites and running a Malware scan doesn't find anything for this pop-up . There's more info on the problem here .........Google Groups
?????? No pop ups for me.....on windows, OS 10, iOS or or android..... You could be infected with some bizare internet disease! Speaking of which....did those spots on your knob ever clear up?
I don't get the pop ups on my iPad, but I do on both my home pc and works lappy. But funnily enough it's not happened this evening.
no pop ups here, i have been browsing things on halfords website earlier, looking to buy a scooter my ads have turned to Halfords special deals and Scooters for kids? now i am a bit of a pc bumpkin? how do they know...?
I just got the Juicy thing, an American lady with extra added adenoids telling me I was a lucky winner!
This has been an issue on a number of sites over the past week. I've patched the forum so you should not get any more. ps - only effected certain browsers and users. Cheers, Rob.
Happening to me on my work laptop, Win 7 64-bit, IE8. No option to upgrade or change browser, unfortunately.
Use Firefox.....you don't need to be an administrator, it doesn't need installing as such and won't touch IE. It will even run from a memory stick if needs be!
Thinking about it but I have to be careful. It isn't my laptop, it belongs to my employer. Mind you, I know a guy who installed Vista Beta in a separate partition of his work laptop a few years ago. He then couldn't get rid of it. Purely a coincidence that he no longer works for the company!
Check the corners of the next ad that appears, there should be a little cone, or arrow, hovering there with your mouse, will produce something like 'Ad Choices', click on that and find your way through to opting out of a very long list of ad companies capturing details of any goods you view so that they can then plague you with ads for those very products or others of the same type. Good luck
