1200 DVT A Few Subtle Changes

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Nigel Machin, Sep 12, 2016.

  1. Had the Multi since July, made a few subtle changes:
Carbon Screen & rear hugger @Conquest Carbon
Paint protection by Tony James Designs thanks Tony Hill
Black powder coat belly pan and pillion pegs
Evotech engine and radiator guards (conquest carbon)

  2. I like that a lot, particularly the belly pan

  3. Looks the business pal. One question though from a newbie, where is that black strip under the pillion seat kept until you lower the rider one?

  4. In the garage.

  5. The seating arrangement came as you see it, the guys at DMC sorted everything for me

  6. And you got rid of the fork reflectors :)

  7. Thanks tobers, I was hell bent on a pikes peak look but now like the black / red scheme!

  8. I most certainly did

  9. Presumably they supplied you with the black plastic component which is attached to the underside of the rider's seat when you want to change to the higher seat position.

  10. It's in a box in the garage

  11. Looks like they didn't give me mine. Nobbers.

  12. Sorry, I should have said "components", since there are left and right bits. Ducati part numbers:
    Seat support left - 8291E 021B
    Sear support right - 8291D 981B
You also need some M5 x 9mm screws.
If you collect a new bike, these bits should be either fitted to the bike or supplied to you in a box.

  13. How effective do you find the carbon screen compared to original?

  14. Nice mate, was thinking doing my belly-pan in red, but black looks cool as well, now I ain't sure ?

  15. Rear reflector bracket needs to come off, then fit a smaller plate
    Edit- oh & led indicators ; )

  16. Not sure about red, I'd like to see one though!

  17. Found the standard tended to direct the airflow right at my bonce! I know the "shortie" won't afford the same all round weather protection but it does seem to deflect the wind away from my head
