Hi guys,well the perils of weeding the garden have finally taken its toll and have torn my knee,am now off work awaiting a op.So a good time to get the bike all ready for summer(NZ). Have replaced the fuel filter,not to much crap in there.Checked the valve clearances,checked rockers Hori exhaust right side KAPUT no chrome(no flakes on strainer so previous onwner possibly found them cleaned strainer changed oil sold bike.All other rockers good.Noticed light oil on horizontal plug And found damaged oil stem seal damaged.WTF I hadnt even started with my measuring yet,I read you can damage these taking closer measurements,someone had slipped off the closer must be about 4 seperate damage points.Anyway can't get shims over the counter here in New Zealand so shop sends off to Italy,I have to wait as rocker arm at the recoaters.Hope you like the pics,and you are making the most of the warm weather.
Yes it does,well the low fuel light goes on after 180 km of Sunday riding,still loads in tank when light comes on. The northern fella on utube had the right idea of getting the pump housing back in with three longer bolts,the green o- ring was a pig.
