Took the mrs on a break to Spain in August, long, long story but after confirming that I'd organised everything (I actually had) and her indoors deciding not to take her purse......I managed to leave my wallet (which is in the form of my mobile phone) all my credit cards and driving licence in me car (drop N go parking) and realised 10 mins befor boarding!!! Anyway winged it and managed to get by, thank fck she took her mobile The hotel couldn't even take for the booking from the card I'd secured it with! Anyhow sat here in the good ol US of A and these feckers don't use chip N pin, they just swipe the card and that's it, in most cases they don't even ask for a signature!! Most powerful technologically advanced country in the world......my arse!
Did anyone else notice people taking pictures at the presidential debate using old-fashioned disposable film cameras? That's the height of their technology...
hey the uk has only had chip and pin for 10 years but in lil ol back water nz we had it 30 years back! Financial hub of the world my arse...
someone else can pay with ya phone, more scary. Down In lewes last year I was talking to a bar man about this contactless stuff, he punched 20 quid in his machine , came around the bar and while walking past waved the machine past my back pocket.. No confirm or pin required money taken.. Great idea.
