Any questions please ask looking for £1950 for the lot many thanks.
hi if this went into a later 748s would I require anything as I have 2002 748s but the wiring loom is different and I have no oil cooler ta
You could either get an oil cooler bud or just blank off the oil cooler unions on the engine. I think you could use your loom but would have to change the generator as mine has two wires and yours has three I belive. But it can be done, I'm guessing yours is a road bike so want to keep your loom?? I think that's the only difference bud but would have to check.
Swap out the generator from the 02 748 and put it in the 853. Job done, no fussing with regulator or wiring. All other OE sensor wiring should be fine. Andy
You can't swap the generator over , the casings and crankshaft are different. The geny will work ok with the two wires just leave one yellow wire from the reg/rec disconnected. There might be a couple of small differences that need altering but easily done such as the neutral switch on the engine I think the earlier bike has one wire (earth) and the later engine has two . No problem running without the oil cooler but after blanking off the feed hoses dont forget to remove the oil bypass plate which is under the oil filter. Steve That engine is a bargain.
Cheers Steve for the info, its a cracking engine, does pain me to sell it for a fraction of what it cost to build. But hopefully someone can use it.
hi guys need this selling really, im willing to throw the frame in with the deal for £2100 frame has v5 in my name, powder coated black. so thats..... tuned jeff green 853 sps engine race wire loom ecu with custom map powder coated frame 916 throttle bodies not a bad deal i think..
Good to meet up today, cookster. And thank you for being patient. Can't wait for next spring when the bike is up and running and the roads are dry and warm again. Hopefully it will be ready for Prescott.
