All hotels add 30% for mgp. If you get digs in town theres local train running day and night to track entrance from main station. Think all race tickets are numbered for open grandstands.
Maybe a year or 2 ago someone said that Valencia didn't sell general admission tickets as it was now all seated. Back in 2006, one of the undeveloped hill sides overlooking the track were packed with 10s of thousands ofvpeople but I think that might have been knocked on the head. Good luck Chiz, hope you have a great time. Andy
Get over there & take a bivi-bag & sleeping bag. Wild camp & don't leave any litter or signs of your sleeping area for farmer/locals to moan about. Cheap as it comes & leave with the morning chorus!
It's got to be Air B&B. Think like a kid. That's the way to do it these days. A local may be able to help you get a ticket in advance.
I remember those hills. They are miles from the track. Take binoculars or you won't see anything. And if it's hot, take a hat. There is no shade there whatsoever and the sun beats down on your noggin as you roast in a stone BBQ.
tbh,, i dont find airbnb to be so cheap ( either here or Spain / France ) , maybe small saving but not much..
thanks Andy! I will one way or another even if I have to watch it in a bar over there. Got a mate coming with so at worst its a week In Spain with a busted foot... Still sounds better than another week in London with a busted foot!
Doesn't matter where you see it, it'll still be a good day and as you say, even better for being in Spain. Watch out for the Amstelaria, the beer pump is part of your table and there is a big screen displaying a table by table running score of what you have drunk. Andy
lol, had one of those at a bar in Ireland a few years back, the last people at the table left a few bonus pints in! All good!
