I met Scott Redding and his Dad at he Silverstone MotoGP this year. Great down to earth bloke. His dad was staying in a camper van on Hamilton Fields camp site the same as us! Photo evidence........
I really want to like Scott But his comments regarding the TT and its riders a while back made me think he was a bit of a helm.
Can't remember exactly but basically said (from memory) something like its madness and needs to be banned. Pretty sure John mcguiness responded saying leave the real racing to the men. Haha
It was because he lost a good friend at the TT who helped him get started in racing, i believe. I would guess when you are in that situation, your attitude towards it does change a bit.
I'm sure he had good reason. But understanding that the TT is a choice and Nobody is forcing you to do it is key. I'm assuming it was bomber Harris. The guy died doing what he loves. It's a shame but you can't just go round banning everything. We already live in a cotton wool society full of drips.
like redding alot and I think his comments there come from a man who has just lost a good friend and is doing some soul searching. perhaps he's right to some degree in that if the tt was every week ( or 2) like the gp by the end of the season their wouldn't be too many riders left.. Anyhu cool pic stevebetts! I for one Hope Scott wins the battle for the gp17! Not looking too good though
