1200 Am I Just Impatient?

  1. If it is just around or very local then I simply tend to throw on a lid and use the clothes on of the day. Some may have an issue with that but that is their problem. I can't see the point of going full winter kit to pop down to tescos for fuel and a sarnie.

  2. You sneak out to petrol stations for sandwiches!

Your missus must keep a tight ship on the diet front.

  3. Don't think it's an issue of you being warm or not ?
And a bump's a bump if it's 10 yards down the road or 10 miles.

  4. This is my retirement dream.

  8. crashed 30 feet from my drive ( mini cab done a u turn in front of me) doin 15-20 mph, foot broke in 3 places. Wearing all the gear. Luck of the draw but I think in general wearing the gear increases ya luck so i tend to do so.
That said I've riden in Thailand,America,Australia,Turkey and back in NZ in shorts and a tee because it was simply to hot.

  9. To be honest, swore blind I'd never ride like that myself, until one year we went to the Catalunya GP ended up riding to the circuit in shorts and tee shirt cos it was so hot :Shy:

  10. A few of us rode to mugello, all in full leathers apart from one in jeans and a leather jacket. We all told him he was stupid until we got over there. Then he became the smart one. All the Italians were riding round in jeans and t-shirt.

  11. Went to WDW a few years ago, it was 40.C, it went across the grain..? But riding into the circuit it had to be t- shirt n shorts that day!!

  12. Yep - dont think my bikes have seen a petrol station in years for the regular commute/general use....whenever i go to fill up the car i take 3 of those 5 litre plastic cans and fill those also and then top the bikes up in the garage...much quicker..

  13. Yeah....riding short distance ill wear draggin jeans, leather jacket, boots and gloves but if im going somewhere long distance its full leathers all the way....when were at the TT i wear my full leathers all day. If i know im going to be somewhere for a length of time (ie watching the racing) then ill take a pair of shorts with me and put those on and get our of my leathers...
