  1. :Hilarious:

finm's forgotten who it is that gives the orders in the United Kingdom!

  2. clearly not. your all topsy turvey loz, one day your saying the unelected EU officials, US presidents, media and corporate barons the next your saying who?

  3. finm, we tolerate your clansmen's traditional Caledonian feistiness and impertinence because you have always been hard workers and, over the past 300 years, generally tractable.

Now get back to your workshop and do clever things with cars, there's a good laddie. Stay out of the political threads because ... well, you know :D

  4. shadap loz. :smileys: save it for the yoons. they have no vision, ambition or self belief.

  6. deffo. but i think you might have to register up here first.

  7. can we take the jobs as well? Be good for those 1500 people told in Portsmouth area this week that their jobs are off to Scotland in the New Year and tow bases are closing...not to mention the whole of Gosport that was always a Navy town and is having the last bastion of Naval history and links removed (submarines) so more like a couple of thousand in one of the South coast most deprived areas.

Still, Scotland is the place of the just and the free who gets nothing from Westminster, right?!

  8. deffo. all 562 of of em. think the cost works out at approx gazilion per job. yip. deffo value for money.

  9. Good ol' finm.

First thought is "What does it cost?". A good little Brit :)

  10. yes,, had a little bit of a second take on that one my self last week, tho have not found / heard the figures again,, but something like a " gazzilion ",, so with about ( max ) 2k jobs in Govan at piss poor rate just where does the rest go ??????????????????????????????????????

  12. an FOI to the MOD despite jabby the hut's claims of 11000 jobs reliant on faslane and coulports nuclear program it turned out it was nearer 500. the big jobs are elsewhere

  13. well they aint fookin up here,,,, an i aint gonna work in Govan ever again !!!

  14. Govin's alright. 2 of my mates lived there. only one of em got stabbed.

  15. on the dole down here, with no jobs on the coast nor infrastructure to get them out of the town. It is already strangled, with the 5 mile journey to the Mway taking an hour at rush hour, and being on a peninsular it really is one road in/out. And all the local shops (whats left), bars, restaurants (cafes) will be hit even harder.

But don't worry, deride 'only a few hundred' as usual without any ida of the consequence to the rest of the community. For someone (finm) who seems to take the devils views on most 'inclusive' debates, seems remarkably at odds with the impact on that wider community.

I am certain, 100%, that they would happily take ALL the nuclear and other bases on the south coats along with all this jobs. Wonder what would happen to the free education and everything else not of the border then?!

Maggie would have been proud...and you Scots fellas seem to be Maggie-ites all of a sudden ;)

  16. Well they do have a Thatch-in-the-making up there, shouting her wee mouth off and pretending to be in charge

  17. and so sayith the minister of false impressions..

  18. take em. dunoon survived, Campbelltowns recovering, our share is taken into account in the gers figures. along with other choices we wouldn't make. terrible waste of dosh.

  19. I don't do impressions, my training's in IT :)

  20. wonder off thats what the steelworkers and coal men are saying in Scotland and Wales right now...
