  4. Now he was a poet. His singing was as bad as Bob Dylan's but what a song writer. He didn't do politics, just emotions and he managed to express in song the inexpressible, in ways that made your spine tingle.
A humble man who never quite accepted his talent and never forgot his fans.

  5. ii find it,,tho maybe i shouldnt , quite surprising that some people think that Bob Dylan only did political songs, where in fact his political stuff was in his early days, he also produced many excellent love songs and general ( but certainly not typical ) narrative , ballad etc works,, incidentally, Leonard Cohen was a big Dylan fan as was Dylan of Cohen.

  6. Sad news indeed, I agree with you there gimlet his singing voice, like Dylan's was very individual.
Just learned to play 'one more cup of coffee' on my guitar, one of Dylan's non political songs. Must get some Cohen down.

  7. A great poet, songwriter and trubador. His songs had so much depth and textured layers the drew you in and held you till the end. My favourite has to be Joan of Arc. Favourite Dylan song Love Minus Zero
