  2. Sorry, you bought her new now breaking???????

  3. Nope I bought it from the first owner, a couple of days ago.

  4. Why buy a rare bike such as this, that has clearly been kept in standard trim and loved by a single owner from new and then break it.....?

    I'll never understand this. Ever.....!

  7. But why?

  8. :) To make money...
Out of interest there's a lot of speculation on price for these at the moment - and considering some peoples opinions on values you'll be hard pressed to profit by breaking it. What did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking?

  9. He doesn’t want to discuss it here because he knows what most Ducatisti think of people who break special bikes, especially when they are in good, roadworthy/rideable condition – such as this example!

So, what are these things worth?

At a guess, even though it has high mileage I’d hesitate £6~9K depending upon mileage and history.

What could he get for the parts?

    Engine Complete - 1.5k
    Airbox - 250
    Wheels - 350
    Exhaust/ECU - 900
    Front Forks - 1000
    Calipers front - 250
    Caliper rear - 100
    Discs - 100
    Rear Shock - 500
    Rear Subframe - 300
    Main Frame - 700
    Bodywork - 400
    Tank - 250
    Steering Damper - 100

So what’s that – just shy of 7k for the bits that actually have a value. Maybe he’d get around 5/600 for the remainder of the bits? That’s before you deduct the time involved or if he pays someone to do it for him.

Hardly seems worth it if you ask me - imagine the joy the bike would’ve brought to a new owner.

    Shame!!

  10. I would imagine he paid less then £4k sterling - we may find out, we may not. I know of some lucky fella who paid less than £2K for a 748SP this year.

  15. I'm sorry guys, a lot of neg behaviour here, too bad.

If you're interested in some parts, please react via a private mail. I'm located in the Netherlands, so I'm not the OP buddy?!?

    @duke63
Original ducati performance front sprocket cover is 29£ incl shipping.

@Bullitt and justass...., don't try to buy any parts from this bike, via PM....you're wasting mine and your own time [emoji3]

  17. @nickmarieke I have no issue with "maths" as you call it, I can assure you of that!!

Anyways, £900 for a set of 5-spoke Marchesini (Brembo manufactured) wheels that you can get on any number of 748/996/998 models... they are not that special other than for the fact that you think you'll get £900 for them!!!!

The first street bike that Ducati supplied with "special wheels" was the 999R.

I have no desire to buy anything from you, or from this bike!
