  7. Holy crap, is that a stock part? These are premium bikes held together with Velcro and tape? I don't know about you but I think that's disgusting for the price we pay for these bikes you'd think they would design a proper bracket

Not at all, good financial sense, when it goes 'pop' which as its on a Multiwarranty' its certain to do it means the dealer can save time undoing 18 bolts to remove the fairing panel then various other bits of stuff which would no doubt be burying the unit. So now its just 'rip it out chuck it in the bin' and replace with the 'updated' unit.
