This is a real easy scam or opportunity the vendor send you a product which forever reason you want to return vendor agrees to return and offers full refund you ask for return address, notoriously diffiucult to find on ebay vender tells you its on the outside of the packet you return goods nothing happens vendor ignores emails messages eventually you open paypal dispute vendor again ignores issue paypal find in your favour but you have to provide proof of postage which you do, however its to the wrong address as the vendor has provided a different address to what his account is registered at he has his money and the product back and there is fuck all you can do beware shamiraccessoriesuk selling smart phone batteries on ebay are using this scam have informed ebay you are just not interested have copies of all correspondence to back everything up and they even offered to refund if I removed the negative feedback for £4 it cost me I would rather leave the feedback and hope that some body reads it
I had a similar one. HITACHI ac remote control. Should cost £90, found a new one with picture for £76...Looked like a small saving from a UK seller. Eventually turned up as a cheap universal value £4. Complained and ask for a refund. First of all I got asked to send it to the usa then Greece and then France. Fully insured the cheapest I could find was £14.94.....still not got my money back.
and to follow up from this as paypal have "resolved" this dispute and found in my favour and refused to refund the money paid they have removed my negative feedback so the next poor punter will have no warning he is dealing with a scam artist embays feedback removal is distorting and hiding poor vendors from the public and as such is now next to useless as it allows this scam artists to trade with impunity
I've spent tens of thousands over the years with ebay and touch have ave only been ripped twice and not for alot. But I'm getting more and more wary which is a shame as despite some goods being worth less in the shop than on ebay ( do your homework) in general it used to be great. Even if just to gauge the value of stuff. like everything though, crooks find a way to fuck it up.
after this episode had a load of stuff for sale on flea bay cancelled all the listings and will post it for sale on internet forums and face ache no fees and a lot less grief
