I bought this ducati 748,year 1996,a few weeks ago and i have had problems getting info and photo's It said on the log book its a 748 the farring says 600 and the vin says its a 750 can anybody help me l'm going to restore the bike
600/750SS deffo not a 748 that will be the cc if its a 750SS could be re fairinged all the SSs of that generation share fairings bodywork and frame/wheels regards Steve
Yep.....but hardly ever referred to as 748. If the OP wants info, I have a load, some big files though, so if he needs help he can PM me to exchange email address. From what I can see in the pics it's pretty much standard except the mirrors and the zorsts. AL
PS...........although the OP says it is a 96 registered bike, I note the fairing hasn't got the later extra vents and it has the black footpeg hangers.....so it could be manufactured 1995.......Gold frame was 95 - 97. Watch it with the front wheel if doing any repairs.....two different axle sizes, bearings and speedo drive......changed around 94, maybe 95.......I need to see a shot of the brake disc centre and hub on the speedo drive side to be able to tell. Basically it is very much as mine was when I got it. AL.
Nah...It's a 750SS......twin zorsts, twin front discs...same as mine........fairing is just the non-extra vent version.. Mine below, albeit altered from when I first got it. AL
cheers for the photo Arquebus my Email is [email protected] By the way did your 750 have pipes from the rad to the carbs cheers holey dave
Yep.....from the oil cooler to the carbs....carb heaters.....some work, some don't......mine do. I will send you a link so you can download some of the bigger stuff (safe download)......smaller stuff by email. AL. PS..Unless you want loads of spam and junk, I would delete your email address if I were you....
