No Eurosport This Year...

  1. If someone is stupid enough to to knock out boxes on ebay with "gifts" then they deserve their collar to be felt, and to be honest it makes the authorities jobs easier...at the end of the day a hack is a hack....if you cancel your subscription and expect it to be reliable and always there then youve got another thing coming...but the flipside is if you stay ahead of the game then usually you can stay watching...i think from their point going for the source is going to be far easier, the source being the streaming source or the reseller source - ie ebay sellers...

  2. TBH this argument has been going on for years with the games industry as well as the movie/tv industry and it still goes on. It'll never happen, its just they're pissed at how easy it is to get them where as "back in the day" you needed a little "know how" to do it

  3. Got rid of all tv over a year ago. Just have Netflix and Amazon now. Can always find what you need online either for a price or for free if you're less bothered about the law.

  4. I have a friend who ive not seen for years (his entire income revolved round hacking in one way and another) and he always said "the more they tighen their grip the easier the hack is to get around" which has always rang true...Sky's encryption has not been cracked for years but, and its a biggie....hackers get to the card after the encryption has taken place and with the advent of the net one card can service go knows how many clients...its been going on for years...

  5. Ive been on the phone to Sky today over this and as i had just renewed my contract 4 weeks ago and no mention of this matter, they said if they are not successful in keeping the channels then they(Sky) are in breach of contract and everyone can leave without getting a penalty fine.

  6. That really gives options, thanks :upyeah:

  7. Think I'm going to get europort streaming for £20 before the offer runs out and decide if I can live Without sky.

  8. I am in the same boat, out of contract with bt and sky , just can't decide the best way forward , love the ease of use of sky and bt infinity with bt sport has moto gp covered and sky with Eurosport has bsb and wsbk covered, but at £125 a month it's stupid money , I have a fire stick with Cody but can't say I use it that much,I would like to subscribe to motogp.com as there coverage seems very comprehensive but not sure how to stream it onto the tv, seems bloody stupid to spend £1500 a year on a phone line that has not got a phone plugged into it, only watch a very few channels on sky and only watch MotoGP on bt sport, add the cost of my mobile phone and that's not far off 2k a year to stay connected, progress for you .

  9. Oh and let's not forget the tv licence

  10. That's the most satisfying one to be rid of.

  11. With eurosport app, can you watch wsbk bsb replay the same day/next day. Is it possible to pause or rewind?

  12. We switched to Virgin for broadband, sky was useless and no high fibre, we get 50mb for the same cost as 2...! But otherwise been happy with sky so be a shame to change. Must check Virgin site, see what they have ;)

  13. Sky just emailed me. £2.25 extra from march. Goodbye kiss.

  16. I only spoke to them a few weeks back to renew a 17 year contract and one of the questions they asked me which channels I watched and two of them were the ones that are going to be affected funny they didn't tell me at the time they are going to lose them, I'll be ring back this morning as i've got a 31 day cooling off period [emoji867]

  17. I've already cancelled my sky eurosport package, just use crickfree tv now. I can get sky, eurosport and bt sport for free.

  18. I have just got off the phone with Sky I was in a queue for 15 minutes. They admitted that they are snowed under with people cancelling because of the loss of Eurosport and Discovery. Sky binned off!
More petrol money for the bikes:grinning:

I'll keep Sky till end of Feb to see if Discovery returns, if not they can FO.

  20. If my friend wanted to buy a box that will let him watch everything and even record without using sky , bt etc what would my friend look for on let's say amazon?
