Harleys and scooters are the only ones I don't acknowledge, although often it's difficult to tell which one is which given the same speeds
Do you acknowledge them if they nod at you first? Just curious, don't mean it in an aggressive way. Incidentally, nobody nods or waves at me when I'm on my Scrambler and I think that's because it looks a bit like a learner trail bike from the front / oncoming perspective. Makes me giggle.
Unless of course the Harley is accelerating in low gears from a low speed - I gave myself a shock when I cracked the throttle open at about 20 mph in 2nd...........because it took off a damn sight quicker than my SS did..........the torque at low revs is the difference. Ok, I would have been easily overtaken at 50mph, though.
I believe that people who have met each other personally at club meets, track days, ride-outs, race meetings, shows, buying and selling stuff, or whatever are less likely to pick quarrels or be abusive in online forums. Those who have no contact except electronically and pseudonymously seem to disrespect one another more.
Try meeting a Ducati forum member. They're an elusive lot. Had several planned link-ups but they rarely actually happen. I guess someone always breaks down on the way.
Yip.... I always seem to miss them at the Italian day in Bristol.... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
I missed that last year because of the weather. I'd like to meet up with anyone who's going and put in an appearance this year but I'm not sure I'll have an Italian bike to go on. I won't get in on an orange Austrian.
Yeah but you can still go to gordano services... Plus if you were on the katoom then you can park out on the road... Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
Sorry, but that's just you. Everybody else meets up quite often - they just send you to a fake address ... on the wrong day ...
Every body I have met up with from this forum from DD racing to ride outs to coffee meet ups have turned up and been some of the best people I know I joined a biker site joined a ride out explained I was slow and got left behind thankfully I knew where I was and managed to get home The best bikers are ducatisti
I've tried nodding at scooteristi but get no response... At best they turn their funny looking bug like head in my direction but no nod. It's like telling a teen ager to do the dishes, nothing but distain.. Almost like I'm the one on the inferior mode of transport.. Fuck em...
I was going to agree with this post but first ...did you happen to be on your Vespa when you posted it?
