wondering what? That instead of putting 1098 lumps in 748/9** frames you should be fitting 748/9** body work to the later bikes?
Wondering what the weight difference was. Going to do the same with the swinger when my scales arrive.
I think the NCR ti frames are about 6kgs (996). Puts into perspective that you can save most of that weight with a light battery for £100 and remove the lights

I think you're right there. However the newer jobbies should be stifferer. The one I have here has a hooooooge 1098 hub in it, so not really a fair comparison.
