  1. I just bought a phone case from china for 1p with free postage. Hows that work? Is it government subsidy perhaps.

  2. Don't know - I got a few key rings at about £0.05 to £0.10 from China and they all arrived. Costs a fortune to post to China for us

  3. Maybe standby for a world of spam and an email telling you that you need to reset your passwords

  4. I won a bluetooth elm327 for 1p. It srrived 3 weeks later.

  5. I just used Google and Facebook, and it cost me 0p. How does that work?
The answer is that I am not the buyer of what Google/Facebook are selling; I am what is being sold.

  6. google and facebook make money from advertising.
This is a business that buys stock, lists it on ebay, packages it and takes it to a post office or gets it collected for one penny (minus ebay and paypal fees).

  7. I've had a lot from China over the years and always suspected that postage was state sponsored.

  10. I imagine there must be some kind of reciprocal agreement whereby they are obliged to deliver it once it arrives.
I can't help wondering if it's all part of some huge plot to undermine manufacturing outside China...

  11. So if we all ordered a 1p item every day the Royal Mail would clog up and go bust :) The Royal Mail have deals with all countries main mail services - but I didn't think it would be free one way and extortionate the other

  12. I'm sure that's not the plan...

  13. I bought a £2 mist mask from China inc postage and never got any spam. But then I may have given them my spam email address which I never check and which isn't on my mail client programme...

  14. Soufflés one day, mist masks the next... Come on glid reveal your true self ! :)

  15. No idea how their reciprocal trading arrangements work.

It may be, so that RM take all the profits out, and Chinese RM take profits back. Except there aren't any. :fearscream:

  16. I've been to China...
