Has anyone used Blowers Jewellers ? I was searching for a particular watch and their web site popped up in the search engine. They have the watch I am looking for at a price I'm prepared to pay but it's a lot of money to buy off the internet sight unseen. Just looking for a little reassurance really. Thanks, Andy
I bought a Breitling in 2006 from an online retailer who typically sold them for about -20% on retail. All of the paperwork that came with the watch was from Blowers.
Not used them personally but they seeen to have a reasonable reputation on tzuk , one of the watch forums I'm on. From what I've seen some prices are 'full', it's fair to say. Pheads watch section seem to place a reasonable amount of store by one of the members who it seems works somewhere in the industry and can source things. Dom Hackett. He has his own website as well.
Can you not take the lady friend on a special weekend break and have a look , oh hang on, it's Hull. Maybe not.... Website indicates they have premises in Mayfair-wonder if they'd send the watch there for you to look at. Depends if it's a Casio or something tastier I guess!
Never been to Hull although it is the city of culture this year. Hoping to phone them tomorrow to discuss. A day trip "up the smoke" would certainly be a lot easier and I need a trip up to the Japanese Centre which isn't far from Mayfair. Andy
Hi Andy, I've used them to buy from and to sell, they seem to have downsized, certainly from a stock perspective but having said that they know their stuff. I visited personally a few years ago, it's a small quirky place with "airlock" type security. Pretty sure they do a no quibble returns policy within 14 days but check this out to be certain, what you looking at? Nige
I've bought twice from them. First time like you I was a little "what if". You'll be fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Blowers have a rock-solid reputation. Correspondingly, not the cheapest, but buy with total confidence etc.
Spoke to a very nice chap in Hull and pleased with the conversation. Sadly the watch is previously worn and the bezel is scratched so I'm going to pass. On the positive side I phoned an Omega boutique in London and they have the watch in stock and it's "only" £400 more. Looks like a trip to the big smoke. Andy
