I think this is pretty nifty...discuss. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/brakefree-the-smart-brake-light-for-motorcyclists-motorcycle#/
Nifty indeed, though I thought stick on stuff like camera mounts and the like were becoming frowned on because of the leverage effect in the event of an off. Saying that knowing bikers and their addiction for flashy bright things, it'll probably go down a storm.
OK and clever but: 1: looks shit 2: it's not eye level to a driver unless they are in a truck/4x4 3: what % of bad bike accidents occur due to being rear ended?
Something like this would probably stop a lot more accidents. You can see round corners/where you are looking and people would see you coming. Not sure what the law is on this?
1. I think it looks good - i think, in the scheme of things ive seen worse...that is, subjective though... 2. Its higher so that can only be a good thing...again just my opinion... 3. Granted not many are rear end jobs (so on that front i do agree) but the light (if your head was facing dead front does wrap around the rear of the lid a bit) and, more curcially though if say your beside traffic on the motorway (eg central lane) and look to your right then the driver on the left will, i think see the light, just makes them aware youre there...ive had numerous occasions when people have just moved into my lane with out even looking....so the advent of a head moving around with a light on the back of it is going to make you more visible... Id still say good...i think ill chuck some cash in for one...
I have one of these, granted it doesnt illuminate when braking but on the flashy mode it draws attention to you in the dark! Looks cool as a helmet, all built in and comfy, plus it has led's on the front too!
