Hi, just bought myself a 2012 Multi touring and pick it up next week. Absolutely can't wait to get the bike, as it totally blew my mind how good it was when I took it out for a demo. Anyway just wanted to say hello as I'm a new member, and ask a question! What are the most popular mods on the Multi, I know the bike is already awesome but I want to personalise it a bit so hence the question. Cheers:biggrin:
Wellsy, Welcome to club and enjoy! Depends what you want to do with your personalisation regime. If you just want to bling it up then the Ducati accessory catalogue will assist you to do that whilst emptying your wallet at the same time. If like me you want to fit a few mods that make it a bit more practical and help protect your pride and joy then you may want to consider the following: Ducati top box - great bit of re-badged Givi kit. More practical for carrying stuff than your panniers and holds two ff helmets with ease. Radiator guard - A big ding in my radiator after a trip to France didn't cause any leaks but did convince me to fit a guard. I fitted a R&G item which looks good quality but there are many others out there. Front cylinder head guard - The cylinder head catches all the crap thrown up by the front wheel and eventually that lovely gold colour will start to suffer. I got mine off Andy W via e bay and is a good quality item which does the job, looks good and is a doddle to fit. Crash bungs - If like me you're a bit short in the leg then there's a good chance that one day it will topple over at a stand still. Did that to me in a French petrol station and I was lucky that the bars and pannier took the brunt. God knows what havoc it would have caused to paintwork and engine cases if I didn't have the panniers on so I've fitted an pair of R&G crash bungs just in case it happens again. Looks good quality kit though I don't intend in finding out how good!

Thanks for all the useful info guys, I will have a good look into some of the protection stuff so I can look after my new pride and joy! Maybe a few carbon bits as my mate runs conquest carbon which does some nice bling and if I keep in his good books I might get a deal or two :wink: As for the deal on the bike, I think (hope) I got a cracker! Basically it's a one owner, bout 6 months old done 2k and cost £11.5k as part of deal with my Part X, also got the 3rd year warranty..... I'm chuffed
