848/1098 Seat & Ignition Cover

Will have a seat off an 1198 going spare as of this morning all being well. New Superpole seat should be arriving this morning

Seems going rate is about £45-50 posted from the last few ive seen pass through here.

Ignition cover as in the bit that goes around the clocks, that everyone changes for carbon? I have one if so.

 

I thought the carbon covers fitted over the top of the original key cover on the 848/1098/1198 due to the transponder being part of the plastic cover? My last two 1098s have been like this.

 

My carbon one replaces the original plastic one on the 1198

 

I guess I have a different type.

 

Sounds like it, thought the transponder was integral to the ignition barrel on all of them. Learn something new every day though

 

When I've taken mine off, the transponder wire stays attached to the plastic surround. I have to admit, I've never looked into detaching it, so you may be correct.

My Streetfighter carbon surround is a direct replacement and the transponder is in the barrel.
