Do You Have A Tv Advert That Does Your Head In Too? Or Perhaps, One You Adore?

  1. Don't really know why, but, MOTO GP on BT sport is sponsored by Suzuki and every break we get one of their Ads.. These in particular really do my head in.. maybe it's because it would appear they have spent a total budget of £04.99 on the entire ad. It's just they're so naff.. Perhaps it's just the repetitiveness of them but all I can tell is arrrgh..!

So tell us, do you have an ad that really annoys you too.. ? Or perhaps ones you truly adore?

  2. The latest money supermarket ad. Didn't mind the twerking office workers and builders. They were quite funny but the new one is just babyish. And any ad, especially animated government information ads which treat adults like five year old children.

Can't bear ads which anthropomorphise animals either. Dogs singing Queen songs and cats and budgies singing duets. Its not cute, its hideous. I've no idea what either of those are advertising because I'm so repelled by the ad the product goes over my head so they don't even work either.

  3. That opera singing insurance muppet. Fucking advertisers :Rage::punch:

Sorry, I have no sense of humour as far as those adverts go ...

  4. Ad breaks are more bearable if you mute the sound, as I find myself doing all the time now, rather than bricking an expensive telly!

  5. All of them!

Freeview - I am watching a chanel via Freeview and they show an advert for Freeview. Why?

There should be rules that say you can't be shown the same advert on any given channel more than once an hour. As for the sponsorship leads, I hate them too. I want to feed that frickin' British Gas penguin to the polar bears. I hate it so much that I now go out of my way to avoid using any product or service offered by British Gas.

Bring back the witty clever adverts. Joan Collins and Leonard Rossiter etc.

  6. Couldn't agree more.. on the other hand .. one that does make me laugh every time is the Eric Cantana ones .. with "Asasion" instead of Alsation.. gets me everytime " Suprem"

  8. My favourite advert of all time. It came completely out of the blue:

  9. As said, Go Compare gets muted every time, also still enjoying 'the taste supreme'

  10. Adverts do my head in. I tend to record anything I want to watch and then watch it a short time later, fast forwarding through the adverts. Life's too short to be spent being brainwashed. :Meh:

Also, have you noticed that if you are watching a program and an advert comes on, if you flick to watch another program for a few minutes, the adverts are playing there too? They must all be in sync so that you can't get away from them.

Failing the above, making a nice cup of tea in the ad breaks takes care of it. :upyeah:

  11. Well the John Clease thrashing ad/scene is back so that might be a good one for you... ?

  12. I totally agree mte, but, without them we wouldn't get motorsport on TV etc..

  13. I can honestly say I've never seen that one before, made me really chuckle... I also like the Specsavers one with the fur hat vet...

  15. Anything with "poem" dialogue in it. It seems to be the current trend, but mostly they seem to be written by eight-year-olds... Nationwide are the latest, but there are several others...

  16. First shown in 1980 - and voted the most annoying advert of all time :)

  20. They are all utterly shite but I see the need for them, so as well as recording so I can speed through, I also pause the start of most things I watch and start watching 15 mins later so I can buzz through them all, but if I was forced to pick real irritating ones, it's either the spinning parking master with that dick Corden or the truly friggin weird tranny office and builder malarkey. Grrrr!!!
