Forum Downtime - New Dedicated Server

  1. Hi all,

    There will be some downtime tonight as we move Ducati Forum from a VPS server to a dedicated server. We are also upgrading the search function to Elastic Search, that should provide significantly increased performance and accuracy to all search results.

    It should feel quite a bit quicker to use to site after we have moved, with much better speed for international visitors.

    Server:
    Intel Xeon E3-1270v6
    4c/8t - 3.8 GHz/4.2 GHz
    32GB DDR4 ECC 2400 MHz
    SoftRaid 2x450GB SSD
    500 Mbps bandwidth

  6. Rob, are the two HDDs presented as a single volume or as RAID 1 (or even RAID 0)?
    I have absolutely no reason why I need to know this but I still want to know. Cos it's annoying.
