Rome Sportsbars To Watch Motogp Mugello

  1. A longshot i know, but does anyone happen to know Rome well enough to advise where i might be able to watch the Mugello Motogp next Sunday?

Myself and Mrs Damo fly out to Rome next Friday morning, obviously the first and 2nd day we're trying to pack in some of the sights. On the Sunday however i've made it clear i really want to experience watching the Mugello GP in an Italian bar somewhere.

Of course i could just go bar to bar to try and find it, but if somebody has a time saving tip of where to head id really appreciate it :)

  2. Thanks, I've sent them an email so we'll see, but judging by the pictures it doesn't strike me as the sort of place to show sporting events on the TV

Let's see what they say :upyeah:

  3. PS, why not drive to Mugello ? 3 hour drive, or 1 hour flight to Bologna ?
I dont think its going to be tricky to find a pub showing this in Rome though, we were there a few years back for San Marino GP, and nearly every bar had that on. Good luck :upyeah:

  4. hard part will be finding one with English commentary ( if you need it)
seem to remember the hard rock café there having alot of TV's with sports on when I was out there

  5. Just asked my wife, as I couldn't remember, she said it was somewhere in Plaza Navona where we watched the San Marino GP, but cant remember the name. Again, good luck, but should be no problem at all.

  6. That was a consideration, but in reality a massive pain in the arse when I could just leave the Mrs at the hotel Spa whilst I go and get pissed with some Italians cheering on the racing :)

  7. Yep, already been through that and the other Top 10 sports bars they list for Rome. Most of the reviews on that specific bar tend to sound like American sports are shown

Problem is that not all sports bars tend to show coverage of motorcycle racing as it's not a favourite of the masses.

Obviously I can pop by them all individually to check, but the post was to see if anyone had real experience of one to save me the time ;)

  8. All sorted now gents

Just had a reply from the Highlander pub in Rome, MotoGP definitely going to be on so that's me sorted :upyeah:

  9. Come to Mugello........that's where 22 of us on the Ducati Manchester trip will be :)

  10. No can do unfortunately, that was the original intention ages ago but for one reason or another we decided on Rome and a nice 5 star spa place just outside of the Vatican.

I think I might try to get over to the Austrian MotoGP on my Ktm later in the year if anyone fancies that trip
