Hi. My multi has been off the road with the battery disconnected for a while and the clock settings have gone from mph to kph. I have followed the instructions in the handbook but the menu wont open up the section that I need to change it. Any ideas.
Theoretically, as I understand it, the ecu should be pre programmed for the market the bike is sold in. Therefore, unless the bike is an import, simply disconnecting and reconnecting the battery should be worth a try.
You say you have "followed the instructions in the handbook". OK, so what exactly have you done? What steps did you take to try and get into the UNITS menu?
have tried disconnecting and re connecting the battery with no luck. The handbook says hold down the high beam switch at the same time as pressing the indicator switch in and holding them for at least 3 seconds. This should get me into a SETTINGS menu which should show "UNITS" where I can change the display from metric to imperial. All that happens is the LOAD display shows which is the normal function when the indicator switch is pressed. I have tried doing it with the engine running/ not running the ignition on/off but I still don't get the settings menu. cheers Gary
Start with the ignition off. Hold down both the headlamp high beam switch and the indicator grey switch at the same time. Then, with both those switches still held down, turn on the ignition (red slide switch down). The UNITS menu will appear.
Success. You would have thought that with all the expertise Ducati have at their disposal they would be able to put the correct information in a handbook. Cheers another good result for the forum.
