Not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes. Basically I've just got an 1199s and I find the seat ridiculous. I slip slide all over the place. I was going to go for a ducati performance comfort seat but then a chap at ducati suggested getting my original one retrimmed. Does anyone here have any experience with retrimmed seats and any recommendations or should I just go for the comfort seat. Thanks in advance Rob
i retrimmed mine and luv it(1098 streetfighter), comfort wasn't the problem though just the sliding around, solved that completely
Hey mate, I fitted the cover myself, Its a luimoto cover and was around £120 (which is way over the top for what it is, front only) Cant mind where I bought it, Was ether conquest carbon or design corsa, The seat covers a doddle to fit if you have an electric stapple gun, I used good quality zinc coated Stanley staples, Ive just bought another pair of covers mainly because I wanted the pillion one aswell and I got the front and rear for £65 of ebay and the quality seems to be very good, Not tried fitting that one yet though so cant comment on fitting, Its a bit thicker material so maybe not so easy to fit, This is the other one I'm on about, Half the price of the luimoto one and comes with pillion, looking at it the quality looks impressive http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-St...349228?hash=item1ec8b5622c:g:lo0AAOSw2gxYoqFr
