Has any (European) owner received any news from their dealer about these 2 new recalls? It really is a SAFETY ISSUE. Got it from the FEMA website (European) http://www.fema-online.eu/website/index.php/consumer-information/rapid-alert-system-recalls/ https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/cons...415/17&exclude_search_term=0&search_year=2017 https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/cons...868/17&exclude_search_term=0&search_year=2017 Rear shock may brake under heavy load And defect in the fuel tank could lead to fuel leakage at the fuel level sensor retaining ring nut, with a risk of fire if the leaking fuel comes into contact with a hot surface. Curious to know. I myself will contact my new dealer if they know about this recall...
Tank was a short production run of affected bikes. Thought the shock was enduro You're full of good news, aren't you
Bloody Hell....just sent my dealer the news as I have my bike booked in on the 12th for its second service ( 1 day before i leave to the Alps!!!!...I am now reluctant to take this bike on my trip ) THANKS for the heads up RIKO!!!!
the shock was new for this week only, so its recent and when looking at the Type approval number: e3*168/2013*00001, thats the same as on my bike, so its not for the enduro only now, DVT's 2015-2017 are also affected.
Someone posted on the shock-recall thread a ducati-uk link where you pop your engine number in & it shows you any recall info.
mailed him, he said in short that if its official, I will receive a letter from Ducati directly if its safety related...
thx! will look into that, doubt if it will show anything since this issue was released only this week... thx anyway, I'll post that link here asap
Up yer generous offer & i'll accept! You'll still have to collect tho......can knock off £75 if you don't want the tyres....
