Didn't want to hijack the other thread, but after putting rear pegs and panniers on my DVT for a quick weekend trip, this rolled past my feet more toward the rear end of the bike ?? I'm not convinced its from my bike but just thought I'd ask, its soft sponge, sticky on one side only ?? Any ideas at all, cheers in advance.
I don't own your modern fangdangelry but where I have seen these on my older bikes, they have been on the inside of body panels that run close to other parts of the bike, so they have these like a cushion to protect the panel and reduce vibration. As that is the area you were working on before it appeared, if you can look up into the rear seat panels and check both sides, I suspect you may see one of these still on the bike and the other side will be missing one. They sometimes come off and when they have I've tended to either uhu them back on or used double sided carpet tape
Thx mate, will look in a min, I had both seats off last night and its not from there, but will check body panels shortly
I have a microfiche that might help, look at this and things like number 27 http://shop.oemducati.com/en/products/multistrada/2015-1/multistrada-1200-s-1/seat--12
Annoying trying to work out if it's a bit from your bike, or just some random crap dropped by someone else.
I know right, was a bit disconcerting as was literally just setting off, but figured it was nothing that important so stuffed it in a pocket and just left, popped in to Rapido's on the way and they suggested from under the seat so looked there but its not, so will check in panels in a bit. Pretty sure it aint important but I'll try and find it today, cheers all
OK, I don't like to admit defeat, but I'm admitting defeat, with both seats off and a half hour look round, it's in the bin with the conclusion it's not off my bike, there's nothing that looks even similar, cheers all but think it's all good.
If it helps, if it is from yours, looking at it, it doesn't seem like it has been making contact with anything or been rubbed against. I'd secure it somewhere safe just in case and don't worry about it till the next time you do a full panel off and clean and see if anything is missing then.
Ha ha ha, that made me laugh, that ain't gonna ever happen. It'll be traded in when it's 2 year old but thanks anyway, and thanks for all your help today.
Have kept it in garage just in case but was just down rapidos again getting MAF sensors for my brothers diavel, and again they said it's not familiar so all good me thinks. Thanks for all your help.
