on the face of it, we are doing ok and bucking the trend of last minute shoite buying. trouble with buying an almost entirely new spine of the team is to ensure it "clicks", if it doesn't we're in the relegation mire again, if it does, we'll be safe by April ;-). the real big money operators are only just starting, Manure seem to have cash available for anything, Chelski have the same and more (and seem to hoover up hundreds of youngsters and farm them out on loan to see if any turn into gems), whereas LFC are being a bit "arsenal" with their thriftiness at the minute. more interested in rugby, tbh. after getting dropped as goalkeeper from the school football "A" team in 1st year senior to the "B" team I jumped ship and found rugby (close shave really, as you don't see many successful 5' 8" (and a half) goalkeepers).
