Bbc Pay Awards.

  1. Live TV shouldn't be what we have to give up, just the BBC channels. Not my fault if they broadcast to non-subscribers.

  2. How depressingly predictable.

Why can't the BBC have pay scales related to grades like any sensible employer.

John Humphries £600k and Sarah Montague not on the list.

Jeremy Vine £700k and Andrew Neil £200k.

    Claudia Winkleman £450k.

As for Evans and Lineker

    Outrageous.

  3. That list is not the be all and end all though.
A Radio 4,(oh the hypocrisy!),nobody-that-anyone-has-ever-heard-of,just admitted that he will be on the list next year.
And that Graham Norton is paid far more than the list states, because he is paid via the production company that the BBC commission to make the programmes.
i.e the BBC pays the production company who then pay GN,and it's kept out of the public eye as a result.
Similarly, the Dumblebores don't feature because they are paid in the same manner
Not forgetting that many other so-called talents form Limited Companies,(used to be lower tax and N.I if paid in the form of bonuses instead of salaries),but also neatly sidestepping the public accountability firestorm.
Almost all BBC turns get collected and taken to/delivered home from the studios by private hire vehicles, plus overnight expenses, travel costs etc etc.
For the few chosen to travel, the licence fee gravy train never stops...

That bloke off Casualty gets shitloads, says Britain
    19-07-17

THE UK had no idea that him off Casualty, the one who’s been in it for years, took it home in a fucking wheelbarrow.

The bloke, you know the one, he’s a nurse or something, is apparently the highest paid actor at the entire BBC which you would never have guessed and Danny Dyer must be fucking furious.

Speculation is growing about what kind of house the man, whose name is expected to come to us any minute – he’s Charlie in the show – has and why he is never seen at showbiz parties.

The public was unsurprised to learn that Chris Evans was continuing to trouser cash because he is jammy bastard and has been for fucking years. Viewers also admitted that Gary Lineker probably deserved his wedge because he was quite good on the Twitter.

Meanwhile, Alan Shearer, defending a salary of more than £400k, said: “I fully deserve my money as I say a large number of words, and sometimes place them into a particular order.

“Anyway you’ve all tuned out now so I’ll stop talking.”

  5. They pay what the market dictates. Simplez. Pay peanuts and get terrible presenters. Oh, wait...

But while we are at it, what do you lot earn? Would you enjoy us picking through your salaries? This is a ruse from a well known anti BBC Whittingdale. Wonder how much he earns from Murdoch. His friend? Hmmm. Fishy? He stinks. But why wonder about things like that when you can all sniff around his smokescreen.

I like the BBC. I make no apologies for it. I consider it good value, esp when you watch other state broadcasters and dont get me started on the yank TV. Thats unwatchable and much of ours is going that way. I dont like all BBC programmes but for the Attenborough stuff alone over the years, weve had good returns.

John Whittingdale is a corrupt moron in Murdochs pocket. Like all the Conservatives. I dont automatically hate Tories, honest. But I do suspect the Murdoch influence in the party, which is why I wouldnt trust them at this moment in time. For me its two birds with one stone, silence the critics and put more power to Murdoch.

I cant stand evans, and 2.2M is a lot and frankly Im concerned, but he is liked by a great many who will watch his shows. Holby is pants and aint worth shit, but millions watch it.

Just because you dont enjoy ALL the programming, shouldnt mean we should scrap it. This gave us Python, The Young Ones, Hitchhikers Guide, Life on Earth, the list goes on. Yeah and on...

Instead ask the question, who benefits the most from this turbulence.

  8. I'm surprised Andrew Neil gets paid so little, he's worth every penny of his daily fee. God knows how he is worth only half of what Tess Daley earns or even half of Vanessa Feltz??

  10. The glory days of the BBC are long gone. Nowadays, you get constant left wing propaganda and bias on all news programmes - no wonder since the people running it are of that ilk, and recruit accordingly.

  12. Toady.

Besides, "the market" no more determines how the BBC operates than it does the motor insurance r̶a̶c̶k̶e̶t̶ trade.

And if you believe that the BBC and Murdoch are competitors ... you aren't paying enough attention.

(And ... we are talking Fiona Bruce, not Bruce Forsyth, right?)

  13. The BBC pulls in just shy of 4 billion a year, that's 4000 million in licence fees alone, plus at least another 1.5 billion from commercial sales!! And you think we get good value?? You're pulling my pisser right?

  15. I think Brexit Britain and its retarded followers loves hating anyone and everyone who doesn't agree with them. Talk about being brainwashed. Very 1930s.

I wonder how many of them would turn down £400k per year from the BBC to do a bit of presenting?

And i wonder how much Sky pay their presenters? How about some disclosure there Mr Murdoch? The sooner he drops down dead then the better this country will be.
